Simultaneous determination of tin(IV), lead(II), and cadmium(II) by a polarographic method
Description
Under the presence of 8% ethyl alcohol, a diffusion-controlled one-step wave was observed for the polarographic reduction of tin(IV), (Esub(1/2) = -0.98V (SCE)), with 2M NH4Cl and 5 mM EDTA, pH=1.0 -- 2.0. In this electrolyte solution, tin(IV), lead(II), and cadmium(II) were determined separately within 5% relative error. The two-step reduction wave is observed unless the addition of ethyl alcohol.
