Description
D-Glucose 4-nitrophenylhydrazone was degraded to D-arabinose in a reaction effected by hydrogen peroxide. Using this simple procedure, D-[U-14C]arabinose can be obtained from D-[U-14C]glucose with a 53% yield. (author)
