Computing structure functions and gluon production for large nuclei

Description
Recent work which attempts to compute both the structure functions for large nuclei and gluon production is described. This work uses the non-Abelian generalization of Weizsacker-Williams fields generated by the valence quarks as the source of the gluon distribution functions. These fields produce, in a nuclear collision, time dependent fields which ultimately end up as produced gluons. (author)
