IAEA specialists' meeting on nuclear data

A brief characteristics is given of the IAEA Specialists' Meeting on the Measurement, Calculation and Evaluation of Photon Production Cross Sections, which was held in Smolenice, Czechoslovakia, on February 5-7, 1990. The meeting was aimed at summarizing the state of the art in the field of methods of measurement, calculation and evaluation of gamma rays production cross sections in reactions with neutrons over a wide range of input energies. Attention was paid to shortcomings of the methods, the possibility of a gradual elimination of these shortcomings and to an overall improvement of procedures for attaining the desired cross sections.
