Discovery of a millisecond pulsar
Description
A pulsar with a period of about 1.556 milliseconds has been discovered. The discovery of the pulsar has cleared up the mystery surrounding the enigmatic source, 4C21.53. An exposition of the history of the search process, results from the timing program, the pulse waveform, the distance and the origin of the pulsar are discussed. 33 references, 4 figures
