Cosmic gamma-ray bursts: a review of the observational data

Creators

  • 1. Los Alamos Scientific Lab., N.Mex. (USA)

Description

Temporal properties of transient cosmic x- and gamma-ray sources, gamma bursts, are discussed, including duration, fluctuation, and frequencies. Energy fluxes and spectral properties are then described together. Finally, the directional data are used to provide estimates of the distance to the sources and the absolute luminosities involved
