Energy distributions of alkali-metal atoms at electron-stimulated desorption from oxidized tungsten

  • 1. AN SSSR, Leningrad. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst.

Description

The time-of-flight technique has been employed to obtain energy distributions of Na and Li atoms at the ESD from oxidized tungsten. On the base of the ESD model of alkali-metal atoms from oxidized tungsten in which the excitation of the adsorption bond is caused by the vacancy formation at the 2s-level of oxygen and subsequent Auger-neutralization of an alkali-metal ion with charge relaxation on oxygen, the energy distributions of Na and Li atoms have been calculated. The calculations agree well with experiment
