Testing of composite materials by Compton tomodensitometry

Description

Thickness, density and all types of defects, including delamination, of advanced composite materials are characterized by Compton diffusion using an industrial X-ray tube. A 3D-image is obtained without contact with the object. For instance, the wall of a tank, even full up, can be tested because it is not necessary to pass through the object like with transmission tomography
