Quantum chromodynamics radiation and KNO scaling

Description
We obtain the KNO scaling function from the parton model and QCD, after averaging the microscopic system of quark and gluons over the hadronic matter coordinates. Energy conservation and soft-gluon emission distribution functions are used to derive an expression which exhibits scaling violations and fits the charged multiplicity very well. (orig.)
