Instrument and transfer functions of stock MDR monochromators
Description
MDR-2, MDR-4, MDR-23, and other grating monochromators are often used in plasma spectroscopy with time resolution. The instrument-function widths of MDR-4 and MDR-23 grating monochromators are measured. It is 0.09-0.25 Angstrom, depending on the type of grating. The nonuniformity of the transfer function in the range of 220-600 nm is 15%. A spectrum can be recorded on photographic film within ± 15 nm
