Heavy flavour physics at LEP

Description

The hadronic Z0 decays, registered at LEP in 1990 are studied. The forward-backward asymmetry of the b quark production and b lifetime measurements are discussed. B0 and B+ lifetime measurements using correlations between a lepton and a charm particle in semi-leptonic decays and evidence for Λb production are described. The partial width of Z0 into bb-bar pairs was also measured. Concerning the charm sector, measurements on D* production which give access to the c quark fragmentation function and to the partial width of the Z0 into cc-bar pairs are described. Tau lifetime measurements are also discussed. (K.A.) 48 refs., 40 figs., 3 tabs
