The source iteration method for solving the Boltzmann equation and its application in computer programs
Description
Automatic translation: In all programs for solving the Boltzmann equation the so-called source iteration method is used. The proof of convergence for this iteration method in the calculation of keff is in a paper by L.N. Ussachoff CProc.Int.Conf.Peacef.Uses of Atom.En., Vol.5, 503 (1955)). This course of evidence is described in detail in the present report. The procedure of Ussachoff is used in all programs for the calculation of and the neutron flux in a modified form.
Abstract (German)
In allen Programmen zur Lösung der Boltzmann-Gleichung wird das sog. Quell-Iterationsverfahren benutzt. Der Konvergenzbeweis für dieses Iterationsverfahren bei der Berechnung von keff ist in einer Arbeit von L.N. Ussachoff CProc.Int.Conf.Peacef.Uses of Atom.En., Vol.5, 503 (1955)) durchgeführt. Dieser Beweisgang ist in dem vorliegenden Bericht ausführlich dargelegt. Das Verfahren von Ussachoff wird in allen Programmen zur Berechnung von und dem Neutronenfluß in modifizierter Form angewendet.Files
