On the turbulent mixing in reactor fuel bundle

Description

The microscopic mechanism for the turbulent mixing between subchannels is analysed in detail, and a general dimensionless equation which is applicable to the turbulent mixing cross-flow rate between any type array bundle subchannels for single-phase flow has been derived by using a turbulent model. The characters of geometric factor K has been predicated and an experimental correlation of the geometric factor K has been obtained by using some experimental results of previous investigators. The general equation based on the experimental correlation of K agrees with many investigators' results from various geometric parameters
