The minimum active volume concept and MAVIS
Description
The design of an active materials handling system is discussed in relation to the proposal that the minimum active volume is the unique control parameter which can minimise the radiation doses, contamination, maintenance and active waste arisings. Nondestructive testing of CAGR fuel pins is briefly described as an example. (U.K.)
