Progress in risk methodology programs
Description
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has made considerable progress in methodology and data development applicable to Probabilistic Risk Assessment. The primary focus of the research has been in the following distinct areas: (1) data base development; (2) statistical and uncertainty evaluations; (3) common cause analysis; (4) system unavailability modeling; (5) analysis of limiting conditions for operations; and (6) loss of benefits from plant shutdown
