Description
The 7T 400mm bore horizontal magnet system has been successfully developed. The magnet is self-shielded and operated at around 4.2K. The cryostat has no liquid nitrogen vessel and boil-off helium gas is completely recondensed by a two stage G-M cycle refrigerator. Two systems have already started operation in Japan. (author)
