Description

High spin states in 96 Tc have been populated via the 19 F + 82 Se reaction at 68 MeV beam energy. The 96 Tc was populated as a 5n evaporation channel. The beam was delivered by the Van der Graaff Tandem accelerator at IFIN-HH. The target consisted of a thin foil of 82 Se deposited on 2 mg of Au. Gamma--rays were placed in the level scheme, based on their coincidence relationships as detected in two Ge detectors and on their relative intensities. Spin and parity assignments are based on the angular distribution of the gamma rays measured at six different angles. In order to avoid contaminations from other reaction channels the angular distribution spectra were recorded in coincidence with the neutrons detected in a large liquid scintillator detector placed at 0 deg.
