Safety study on high-temperature reactors under German siting conditions
Description
The report gives an assessment and critical evaluation of the AIPA study (Accident Initiation und Progression Analysis) with regard to seismological effects, component failure probability, human failure, earthquake effects, and thermodynamics in gas-cooled HTR reactors. Using the problems of radioactive emissions in the atmosphere as an example, it is shown which points of the models of the AIPA study can be used, which points have to be adapted to German conditions, and where modifications are required. Der vorliegende Bericht hat die Beurteilung und kritische Wertung der AIPA-Studie (Accident Initiation und Progression Analysis) bezueglich seismologische Effekte, Versagenswahrscheinlichkeit von Komponenten, menschlichem Fehlverhalten, Erdbebeneinfluss und Thermodynamik in gasgekuehlten Hochtemperaturen zur Aufgabe. Anhand des Problemkreises radioaktiver Freisetzungen in der Atmosphaere wird festgestellt, welche Punkte des Modells der AIPA-Studie uebernommen werden koennen, wo sie an deutsche Verhaeltnisse angepasst werden muss und wo Verbesserungen notwendig erscheinen.
