Description
A recently developed 'one and a half centred' expansion method for impact parameter coupled-states calculations is applied to ionisation and charge transfer in H+ + He+ collisions. The cross sections obtained are compared with other theoretical calculations, and experimental data. Some disagreements are noted. By applying time reversal to the present H+ + He+ calculations, He2+ + H total capture and He-(2s) capture cross sections in good agreement with experiment are obtained. (author)
