A method of manufacture of capsules containing a gaseous radioisotope

Description

The radioisotope and a gaseous diluent are introduced into a mixture-forming zone, then stirred up and the mixture is discharged into a gas-impervious enclosure which is thereafter divided into a sealed ampoule. This method is used for applying Xenon-133 through inhalation for the examination of lung trouble by scintiscanning

Abstract (French)

On introduit le radio-isotope et un diluant gazeux dans une zone de formation de melange, on brasse, on decharge le melange dans une enceinte impermeable aux gaz que l'on partage en ampoules scellees. Ceci est utilise pour l'application du Xenon-133 par inhalation pour l'examen des troubles pulmonaires par scintigraphie
