Description
This guide delineates acceptable levels of service and appropriate combinations of loadings associated with normal operation, postulated accidents and specified seismic events for the design of Class 1 plate-and-shell-type component supports, as defined in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Subsection NF. Corresponding regulations are contained in Criterion 2, Appendix A to 10 CFR Part 50. The guide applies to light-water-cooled nuclear reactors. Input has been provided by the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards
