Relativistic estimate of meson exchange currents in elastic electron-deuteron scattering

Description

Relativistic corrections are evaluated to meson exchange currents in the deuteron. It turns out that the overall relativistic effects are to depress the nonrelativistic results. We have also calculated the contribution of meson exchange currents to the nuclear density of the deuteron. (author)
