Statistical description of γ-decay widths of states with fixed angular momentum
Description
The general relations which connect the radiation width of high-excited states with a given spin with the imaginary part of the linear response function for hot nuclei in electromagnetic field are obtained. The restrictions due to the angular momentum conservation are taken into account. The expressions are compared with those used in previous calculations of the γ-decay and absorption processes. In general, the temperature of the compound states that determine γ-decay depends on the properties of radiation mode
