Device for controlling a PWR with adjustable control rods

Description

Axial irregularities of load distribution of the PWR due to Xenon poisoning are corrected by the existing control rods. Detectors are provided at different heights to measure the differences in load distribution. There is a corresponding adjustment of the control rods via long term units, so that a feedback which is matched to the slow load changes is obtained. (RW)

Abstract (German)

Axiale Ungleichmaessigkeiten der Leistungsverteilung des DWR, die auf Xenonvergiftungen zurueckgehen, werden mit den vorhandenen Steuerstaeben beseitigt. Es sind in unterschiedlichen Hoehen Detektoren zur Messung der Differenzen in der Leistungsverteilung vorgesehen. Ueber Langzeitglieder erfolgt eine entsprechende Verstellung der Steuerstaebe, so dass eine den langsamen Leistungsaenderungen gut angepasste Rueckwirkung erhalten wird. (RW)
