Pressurized water reactor protection system design and two phase flow transients
Creators
Description
The thermal/hydraulic conditions of a PWR prior to a two phase transient are discussed together with analytical simulation by the finite difference method, finite elements method and flow regime analysis. Experimental simulation of two phase transients is also discussed. It is concluded that PWR two phase transient analysis is still at its early development stage and that safety analysis reports and post accidental guidelines based on such analysis are irresponsible and dangerous.
