Mechanical properties of laminated composites of Al 1100/Al 2024 in three aging states

Description

Laminated composites consisting of alternating layers of Al 2024 were produced by hot rolling, with a volume fraction of 49% of Al 2024. These composites used in nuclear reactor tecnology, were given under-aging, aging and over-aging heat treatments at 448k for 1h, 4h and 96h, respectively. Tests of microhardness, tension and fatigue in the divider orientation were performed. (Author)

Foram fabricados conjugados de Al 1100/Al 2024 por laminacao a quente, com 49% de Al 2024. Estes conjugados utilizados na tecnologia de reatores, foram tratados termicamente, tratamentos esses que consistiram de sub-envelhecimento, envelhecimento e super-envelhecimento a 448K por 1h, 4h e 96h respectivamente. Foram realizados ensaios de microdureza, tracao e fadiga tipo divisor. (Autor)
