Is there a one-neutron halo structure in 14B?

  • 1. Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta (India)

Description

The parallel momentum distribution has been calculated for 13B in its ground state, which results from the Coulomb dissociation of 14B on Au at 60 MeV/nucleon. The calculations have been performed within the adiabatic model. Here, a single particle potential model for 14B has been used in which the valence neutron, with a binding energy of 0.97 MeV, moves relative to the 13B core in a Woods-Saxon potential
