Radioactivity from neutron activation of nuclear power system components in NASA space stations

Description

Neutron activation products produced in a space station nuclear power system are determined. The inventories accumulated in the system components and the resulting radiation source strengths are presented for a variety of operating and accident conditions. The important isotopes with respect to direct radiation, inhalation or ingestion hazards are identified. 9 references. (U.S.)
