The severe accident management problem is discussed with regard to the relevant EUR document. The report describes requirements for severe accident management, melt location and aftercooling (melt catchers, external reactor vessel cooling, and recombiners and igniters (passive autocatalytic recombiners - PAR, experimental PAR performance testing, hydrogen igniters, and hydrogen disposal systems for advanced reactors).
