Description
A SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) is an extremely sensitive magnetic field sensor using superconductive components. Corroded aluminium components of aircrafts were studied to find out if and under which conditions it would be possible to detect magnetic field changes caused by corrosion currents using a commercially available HTSC-SQUID-magnetometer in the case of hidden corrosion. Abstract (German)
