The single top production channel at Tevatron energies

Description
We have analyzed the cross section for single top production at Tevatron energies characterized by a final state of a banti b jet pair and a W boson. For a top quark mass of the order of 150 GeV and with suitable cuts introduced in order to reduce the background this channel becomes competitive with the traditional tanti t pair production. We also discuss as a possible signature the charge asymmetry of the bottom jets with respect to the incoming hadron's directions. (orig.)
