Basic questions in our understanding of flares
Description
Two points must be realized before the understanding of the flare process can be achieved: (1) It is well known observationally that the flare is an explosion. (2) Flare is essentially a non-uniform phenomenon. Taking into account these starting points the author has proposed (Syrovatskii, 1975) the model of flare process as a process of a breaking of non-uniform current sheet. (Auth.)
