Seismic probabilistic assessment of NPP safety

  • 1. Technical University, Sofia (Bulgaria)
  • 2. Riskengineering, Sofia (Bulgaria)

Description

A methodology for seismic analysis of the NPP safety and an example for implementation are presented. A two-stage failure scenario for the primary circuit line break has been adopted, consisting of hydraulic snubber failure followed by a failure on straight fragment. The calculated probability for the resulting event is 3.167E-12, determining the device as reliable under the assumed initial conditions
