Electrostatic instabilities of multicomponent plasma with ions gyrating around the axis of a plasma column

Description

Stability of radius heterogeneous multicomponent plasma whose one or two types of ions gyrate around the plasma column axis is studied. It is shown that in such a plasma the drift instability is not generated. Azimuth short-wave ion cyclotron oscillations are characterized by exponentially low increment; ion-ion sound and ion-ion hydrodynamic instabilities resulting in transfer anomalous processes and in principal variations of plasma equilibrium state are turned to be most dangerous ones. 22 refs
