Low frequency wave propagation in hot toroidal plasma
Description
The wave propagation problem at or around the ion cyclotron resonance is discussed by consistently accounting for the full toroidal geometry, the multi species structure and the complete dielectric tensor of the plasma, keeping the lornest order dissipative Landau, or ion cyclotron Landau effects, experiments showing unexpected results on the basis on a single specie plasma in simple geometry, whereas attempts with multi species plasma have concluded on the needs of keeping the higher order fuite Larmor radius (FLR) correction terms. This point is to be discussed here in a full toroidal system
