Effect of structure of niobium films on current-induced superconducting transitions

Description
A connection is established between the processes occurring in current transitions and grain size in thin niobium films deposited in a technical vacuum. The observed behavior of the characteristic currents associated with the different stages of an S--N transition are explained on the basis of the relative effects of grain size and grain boundaries
