Description
A compact low power micro-controller based Hand held Beta/Gamma Survey Meter has been designed and developed for Gamma Dose rate and contamination radiation measurement. The survey meter uses GM tube and Pancake Detector covered with protection grill. An analog two channel shaping amplifier with discriminator has been developed to work with SMD component to produce a low power, lightweight unit. It is a low power Micro-controller based survey meter. It process, store and displays data in real time. This paper describes the design concept and functional detail of Beta/Gamma Survey meter including the firmware flow chart. (author)
