Measurement of the 64Zn(n, 2n)63Zn reaction cross section of 14.61 MeV neutrons
- 1. Qinghua Univ., Beijing, BJ (China). Dept. of Physics
Description
The cross section for the 64Zn(n, 2n)63Zn reaction was measured at 14.6 MeV using the activation technique relative to well-known cross sections for the reference reactions 56Fe(n, P)56Mn and 63Cu(n, 2n)62Cu with cross sections found to be 190.1 + 5.3 mb and 196.3 + 7.7 mb respectively. The same measurements were also made at 14.13 MeV, 14.61 MeV and 14.85 MeV, where the cross sections of 27Al(n, P)27Mg were used for reference, and the corresponding results 116.0 + 8.7 mb, 189.4 + 14.2 mb and 197.2 + 14.8 mb were thus given. The activated samples were counted for the γ-activity using a HPGe detector
