On the crystal structure of nanocrystalline Cu2O

Description
Recently reported powder diffraction data on a new orthorhombic polymorph of Cu2O stabilised by the reduced grain size were reanalyzed. The present results suggest that the same data can be better explained in terms of phase mixture of Cu and cubic Cu2O, thus confirming that the latter is the stable phase in nanocrystalline cupper oxide
