Present status and future development of radioactive isotope diagnostics
Description
A review on the application of radioimmunoassay (RIA) kits in Hungary is given. In 1979-1980 more than 100000 RIA determinations were carried out, still not enough to satisfy the demand. In 1981 the following RIA kits were available in Hungary: triiodothyronine, insulin, insulin antibody, thyroxine and the HPL. Estriol kits were in the last stage of development. All the other RIA kits were imported from western countries. The paper presents a reasonable program for the future development in this field. (L.E.)
