Electronic structure and X-ray emission spectra of ScRh

Description
The linear augmented plane wave method has been used to calculate the energy zone structure and the distribution of the intensity in X-ray emission bands of all series of the ScRh intermetallic compound with the ScCl structure. It is shown that the zone structure is characterized by two groups of D-zones, genetically appearing from d-levels of scandium and rhodium and separated by the energy gap with a low density of states. It is shown that the determining contribution in the M3-emission scandium band is made by s-symmetry states
