Storage vessel for container for radioactive material

Description

The storage vessel of containers for radioactive materials according to the present invention comprises an exit side heat exchanger for conducting heat exchange with exhausted air from cell chambers and a circulation means for circulating coolants and an entrance side heat exchanger for heating an entrance for external air. With such a constitution, the entrance for external air can optionally be heated to prevent coating of ice or snow, and the external air can be taken smoothly to ensure cooling of the storage vessel. In addition, the upper portions of the containing tubes are cooled to reduce influences on concrete portions or the like upon rising of the temperature inside the storage vessel. In addition, the temperature of the air taken in winter and summer can be controlled to ensure integrity of the storage vessel when the temperature changes depending on the seasons or the difference of the locations of construction.
