Description
The possible contribution of second-class currents to the β-particle asymmetry coefficient (Ae) at the decay of oriented 24mNa nuclei is theoretically investigated and estimated in the framework of the nuclear shell model. For FT ≅ 10-3 MeV-1 the effect is shown to be ≅ 10-3. A possibility of an experiment to measure the energy dependence of the coefficient Ae using the laser method is discussed. A scheme of the experiment is proposed. 12 refs.; 3 figs
