Application of yttrium-neodymium laser for solid wastes cutting

Description
The results of testing the pilot facility for cutting radioactive wastes produced in the course of reactor components (reactor vessels, steam generators) dismantling are discussed. The facility includes YAG laser with mean power rating of 1 kW. The facility gives an opportunity to realize the cutting procedure remote control. The facility schematic diagram and sequence of operations during experimental cutting of stainless steel sheet are described
