Description

New data for the decay of 6.2-sec 114Im decay indicate that the isomer lies at 266 keV and has spin 7. The decay proceeds through a 135-keV M3 transition to a level at 131 keV that may, itself, be isomeric. The 131-keV level decays by a 28-keV M2 or E2 transition and 103-keV E1 transition suggesting a spin of 4. An interpretation of the structure though the parabola rule and IBFFM will be discussed
