Description
This paper describes the natural resource damage assessment and restoration program in Prince William Sound, Alaska which is being carried out under the authority of the Clean Water Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act. Over 150 lawsuits have been filed as a result of the accident and bills have been proposed in Congress that would strengthen oil spill response and raise liability limits
