Method of producing block fuel elements for high temperature power reactors
Description
Pressed block fuel elements for gas-cooled high temperature reactors are produced by hot pressing of granulate (of graphite powder and binder) with coated and cladded fuel particles at low pressure. The patent claim deals with the fact that the cooling channels of the block element are directly pressed without any mechanical processing. (UA)

Die Herstellung von gepressten Blockbrennelementen fuer gasgekuehlte Hochtemperaturreaktoren geschieht durch heisses Verpressen von Granulat (aus Graphitpulver und Binder) mit beschichteten und umhuellten Brennstoffteilchen bei niedrigem Druck. Der Patentanspruch bezieht sich darauf, dass die Kuehlkanaele des Blockelementes ohne jegliche mechanische Bearbeitung direkt mitgepresst werden. (UA)Files
