Description
The solutions of the Vlasov equation based on the Walecka model applied to hot and dense nuclear matter are obtained and discussed. It is observed that the effective mass of scalar and vector mesons raises only slightly with temperature for T<180 MeV while the effective nucleon mass decreases. The collective longitudinal modes are obtained and the coupling between them is studied through the energy-weighted sum rule. At finite temperature it is found that the zero sound mode emerges in the continuum of particle-hole excitations
