Many-body multiconfigurational Dirac-Fock calculation of hyperfine interaction in 7s, 7p1/2, and 7p3/2 states of Ra ciI

Description
The techniques of relativistic many-body calculations on atoms and ions have been used to reformulate the multiconfigurational Dirac-Fock techniques in such a way that good wave functions can be obtained with the same accuracy as with many-body perturbation theory, and a relationship between both approaches has been established. As an example the hyperfine interactions of the 7s, 7p1/2, and 7p3/2 states of Ra+ have been successfully calculated and are in good agreement with experiment
