Characterization of 198AuNP encapsulated PAMAN G4 for drug delivery diagnosis and cancer therapy

Description
In Indonesia, each year there are an estimated 100 new cases per 100,000 population. It means that of the amount of 237 million people, there are approximately 237,000 new cancer patients each year. Proper treatment for cancer is a solution to solve the problem. Gold nanoparticles radioactive utilization (198AuNP) or a non-radioactive (198AuNP) wrapped PAMAM G4 developed by the National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN), is a breakthrough in the treatment and cancer diagnosis. Synthesis of 198AuNP PAMAM G4 can be done with the bottom-up method that is reacting H198AuCl4 with PAMAM G4, then reduced by sodium borohydride (NaBH4). Characterization results of 198AuNP was PAMAM G4 showed the absorption of 198AuNP PAMAM G4 found the absorbance at 280 nm wave length, the nanoparticles formation found the increasing of absorption at 550 nm, while the purification results using vivaspin 10000 KD showed 92.34 % of the purification efficiency. From the characterization results above, it can be concluded manufacture of nanoparticles 198AuNP PAMAM G4 uses bottom-up methods have been successfully. (author)
